This course provides practical training in translation between English and Spanish to meet the needs of professionals and pre-professionals in a variety of economic sectors.  A brief overview of translation theory and history precedes the course's core sequence of translation modules.  Texts are derived from fields with a focus in healthcare, business and social services  Current translation tools and techniques are explored and utilized.  Localization and transcreation are addressed as complementary activities within the language services industry
