PHYS 415 Computational Physics

This course will introduce students to the new and expanding field of Computational Physics. They will learn how to use the computer to solve equations that cannot be solved analytically ("by hand"). Besides reading and learning about the techniques, students will be expected to actually write software to implement some of the techniques learned in class (as homework). This course is meant to extend CPSC 211 Scientific Computing with FORTRAN to more advanced physics problems.
