This course is designed to develop the musician’s ability to invent and organize musical ideas at the piano. Emphasis is placed on harmonizing and transposing melodies with appropriate easy accompaniment, working with harmonic progressions, reading figured bass accurately, reducing easy choral and instrumental scores at the piano, and improvisation.
