HLTH 440 Modifying Health Behaviors

This course is an overview of the major theoretical models used in public health for modifying health behaviors. This course examines efficacy of interventions in relation to current practices in public health. Best practices and applications of theory-driven health behavior chnage are studied within the context of community-based settings. The focus of the class is to if=dentify the critical factors necessary to create health behavior chnages in order to address the Center for Disease Control and Prevention revised "Healthy People" goals and objectives
