CPSC 453 Database Systems

This course is an introduction to the management of large volumes of interrelated data through integrated database management software. Topics discussed will include relationships between data items, effect of redundancy, and database design considerations. Representative examples of the relational and network approaches to database management will be examined; hands-on experience with a database management system will be provided.
