The fundamental concepts relating to matter, its properties, composition, structure, and reactions are presented. The student is introduced to the chemical elements, the periodic table, inorganic nomenclature, atomic theory and structure, chemical reactions and equilibria, solution chemistry, and nuclear chemistry.
